About WBMDFC Scholarship

The West Bengal minorities development and Finance Corporation offers the different types of scholarships for the students who are not able to gain higher education because of the very costly fees of colleges and schools of the West Bengal State. There are different types of scholarship which are present at the West Bengal minorities development and Finance Corporation website. This scholarship will help develop the premises of the West Bengal State and also help in developing the human resources of the country by providing incentives to gain an education.

Types Of Scholarship

There are different types of scholarship present in the West Bengal scholarship portal. The list of the different scholarship is given below:-

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for different types of scholarship schemes are given below:-

Pre- matric Scholarship

  • The applicant must be a domicile of West Bengal.
  • The applicant must be studying in a School/ Institution recognized by an educational Board/ Council/ University of the State/ Central Government.
  • The applicant must have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination.
  • The annual family income should not exceed Rs.2 lakh.
  • Students studying in institutes outside West Bengal will not be eligible for the pre-matric or post-matric scholarship.

Post-matric Scholarship    

  • The applicant must be a domicile of West Bengal.
  • The applicant must be studying in a School/ Institution recognized by an educational Board/ Council/ University of the State/ Central Government.
  • The applicant must have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination.
  • The annual family income should not exceed Rs.2 lakh.
  • Students studying in institutes outside West Bengal will not be eligible for the pre-matric or post-matric scholarship.

Merit Cum- Means Scholarships

  • The applicant must be a domicile of West Bengal.
  • The applicant must have got admission in a technical/professional course.
  • The applicant must have secured at least 50% marks in the last Higher Secondary/ Graduation examination.
  • The annual family income of the student should not be more than Rs.2.5 lakh.
  • The students who are residents of West Bengal but pursuing studies in listed institutions located outside West Bengal, as may be notified from time to time by the West Bengal Minorities’ Development and Finance Corporation, are also eligible for applying.

Talent Support stipend

  • The applicant must be a domicile of West Bengal.
  • The applicant must have got admission in a technical/professional course.
  • The applicant must have secured at least 50% marks in the last Higher Secondary/ Graduation examination.
  • The annual family income of the student should not be more than Rs.2.5 lakh.
  • The students who are residents of West Bengal but pursuing studies in listed institutions located outside West Bengal, as may be notified from time to time by the West Bengal Minorities’ Development and Finance Corporation, are also eligible for applying.

SWAMI VIVEKANANDA MERIT CUM MEANS SCHOLARSHIP

  • The applicant must be a student of Class – XI and XII
  • Or the applicant must be under the Graduate level in Engineering, Medical and Technical / Professional courses besides Under Graduate, Post Graduate level students pursuing General Degree courses.
  • The scholarships will be sanctioned to deserving students on merit-cum-means criteria.
  • Students pursuing M.Phil courses and Doctoral courses from State-aided Institutions are eligible.
  • The upper ceiling for family income has been fixed at Rs.2,50,000/- per annum.

Application Procedure

  • Fill the personal Student Information
  • Finally, click on the Proceed button
  • Fill the scheme eligibility column on the webpage.
  • Click on the “Submit & Proceed” Button
  • Further, check your Relevant Scholarship Scheme
  • A User ID will be generated.
  • Login with Your User Id And Password
  • Fill up the-
    • Basic Information
    • Academic Information
    • Bank Account Information
  • Finally, verify all the details
  • Click on “ Final Submit “ Button
  • Take Print Out Copy Of Application From
  • Along With Photocopy Of Bank Pass Book Containing Bank Account No And IFS Code, submit it to the concerned Institute.
